Visited Hearth with my husband for an early Valentine's dinner and everything was phenomenal! We were seated and greeted promptly and the server was very knowledgable and friendly. We started with the Saskatoon Club and Spicy Margarita for drinks. We decided to go with the 5-course tasting menu so we could try a little of everything. This includes: squash and kale salad, mushrooms, spicy pierogy pasta, beef, and sticky toffee pudding. We also recieved an amuseboosh of beet (yes, beeT) tartar and truffles before the dessert. Everything was very fresh, beautiful and delicios! We were very full after everything and will definitely be back!

We were SO excited to finally try the famous Hearth! Overall a good experience, fun to try some new things. The Arancini is worth trying. For mains, we had the Spicy Perogie Pasta - this one was very disappointing to me. If you’re a big perogie person, it won’t be what you hoped. Its not spicy, and it honestly had next to no flavour I found, which I see in other comments as well other concur. I was disappointed, I’m sad to say. My partner had the Squash Schnitzel. The schnitzel itself was delicious, but it comes with a lot of beans. It’s seasoned very well, but you get tired of beans by the end for sure. The dessert was our favourite part! The Panna Cotta came in the cutest tea cup and it was delicious. Would come again just for that! The drinks were also very good! They have lots of fun non-alcoholic options too. Overall, glad we came, just not sure if we’d come back for a full meal but maybe more snackies.

My dining experience was good overall. 3.8/5 Great drink menu, very diverse and applicable to every taste bud. For our food, We tried the Arancini and the Beet Tartare to start and for not liking risotto or beets, these were top notch. I think the serving size was okay, but could have used maybe more sauce in the arancini. For our main, we had the Spicy Perogie Pasta and the Chicken Kiev. The spicy perogie pasta was not spicy at all. No hint of spice. The idea of the dish is fantastic but it wasn’t a lot of taste. The chicken kiev was average. The bitter greens were definitely bitter, the chicken itself was cooked perfectly, tender but didn’t get much flavour. The sprinkled salt and the breading carried the flavour of the chicken. The potato puree was outstanding, creamy, and light. It had a buttery taste with a hint of saltiness. We had the bavarois for dessert, It was light, fluffy, and obviously tasty. I could have used more crunch but that’s a personal preference. But definitely this was the best part of my evening. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good, quite loud to be honest but if you enjoy a loud atmosphere then cheers to you! The servers were fantastic! They answered any question quick and were very efficient. I would recommend visiting this place if you wanna try something new and have dinner by the river. Keep in mind that there is no allocated parking, only street parking. Is it worth the hype? Maybe to you! This is a personal opinion, not the law. Always try something before you say you don’t like it !

Hearth has been a long time favourites of my partner and I’s. This weekend was our first time visiting at their new location in the Remai. We ordered the polenta fries and sausage and polenta to start and the chicken kyiv and French onion pork chop as mains. The food was excellent, we personally were not fans of the pork chop but everything else was great. Compared to the old location, we found the new space in the Remai to be lacking. We always enjoyed our time at Hearth for its homestyle atmosphere which has been lost at the new location. The decor on the walls, the open kitchen where you can hear and smell all the magic. It felt warm and cozy as if you were eating in grandmas kitchen. Although not enough to drive us away, we are hoping that the beautiful patio will be a hit this summer.
